I used Stopcocks Ask An Engineer service yesterday (which I’ve just seen has only just launched) and it was brilliant! Had a video call with a very patient plumber who talked me through sorting out my low boiler pressure and sorting the timer out, explaining how everything works as we went along. At £25 it was an absolute bargain and had the unexpected side effect of making me feel very practical and empowered to have a go myself. Could not recommend highly enough!

Our Gas Safe Engineer with over 30 years experience may be able to talk you through fixing the problem on the call. If she can’t she will give you a diagnosis (in most cases) so that you are much more informed if you need to call an engineer to visit.
Either way, you save money and time.
If you have the technology she’ll do a video call (WhatsApp) with you, if not she’ll talk to you on the phone. A mobile is best.
She will not be available on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
