A fascinating look at the history of plumbing since 2600 BC.
We all use plumbing several times a day but how often do any of us think about it?
Here’s an extremely thorough look at the history of plumbing. Thanks to QS Supplies

Hello,
Can I ask a question please? I have come across an entry in an account book from 1777 at Calke Abbey in Derbyshire. George Mugliston was a plumber and glazier and was paid for ‘a pump for Sir Henry’s bath.’ What would this have been like? How did it work?
Oh my goodness! How fascinating.
I’ll see if I can find someone who knows more about the history.
Plumber and glazier makes sense, as window installation depended on lead until very recently.
