Success isn’t always what its cracked up to be

Plumbing can be the perfect new career for women.

Many seemingly successful women are finding that high status jobs aren’t always the bed of roses they’ve been lead to believe in by our driven culture.

We’ve been surprised at the calibre of the women who join us to become Stopcocks Women Plumbers; corporate women, doctors, teachers, women who’ve had very responsible positions in the public sector are all members of Stopcocks.

If you want to discuss retraining as a Stopcocks Woman Plumber now call 0800 862 0010 or email mica@stopcocks.uk

After a certain time, responsibility but not the power to dictate when you work, how you work and not having the time to work to the level of excellence you know you’re capable of can begin to grate.

Coupled with the stress created by not seeing partners and families, this can lead to illness and even burn-out.

Our plumbers all talk about their improved quality of life and better balance between work and family.

After years of high heels and power dresses many women are happy to swap to boots and a boiler suit and get their hands dirty to be able to see a job through to the end, do it well and directly help people improve the quality of their lives.

Plumbing can fit the bill if you’ve always longed to be more hands on or been driven to distraction by plumbers not turning up or doing jobs inefficiently.

It doesn’t even mean you won’t be able to look glamorous at work

Stopcocks training course starting in Feb 2013 is the first women-only, fully qualifying course in plumbing.

It comprises more than just training in the workshop, Stopcocks membership means you’ll be part of a supportive community, be able to work alongside other plumbers on bigger or complex jobs, have access to phone mentoring and on-site supervision to help you gain skills and confidence and fully qualify, plus support to set up your own business as a Stopcocks plumber and benefit from being part of our widely recognised brand associated with great customer service.

Training takes place at West Herts College in 8 x 1 week blocks during the whole of 2013

Registration and deposit required by February 11th.
