What our customers say about Jade
“Jade came to service my gas boiler and fire, she kept me well informed throughout her work and even taught me a few things about my fire that made my life a little simpler! Jade was very respectful and made me feel well looked after”
I just had a boiler service by Jade and wanted to give some feedback.
The process has been completely painless and the system has been completely seamless.
Whenever we’ve had it done before it wasn’t either.
I’m recommending Jade and Stopcocks everywhere. I just love the concept.

“Prior to Jade coming to my property, I had an annoying issue with my washing machine dirtying my clothes! I explained the problem to Jade and it didn’t take her long to diagnose the issue. The plumbing was the issue not my washing machine. Needless to say Jade fixed my problem and also changed a pair of old taps for me in my bathroom. Very impressed with her service and would recommend Jade to anyone”
“I had quite a bad leaky toilet and it was making such a loud noise when I flushed it. I was worried about the damage the water was causing. Thankfully Jade came to me promptly and identified the problem and fixed the loud noise too. Happy with the service, thanks Jade”

More about Jade
My journey into Plumbing started with a job behind the sales counter in a plumber’s merchants. As time went on, I developed a real interest and motivated outlook in this mechanical technology, especially for boilers and their internal workings. Working behind a counter didn’t enable me to get as close and personal as I wanted to with these machines! I wanted to get my hands dirty so I applied for a 4 year apprenticeship in Plumbing and heating. I worked hard to get everything I could out of my learning, I had a go at everything, especially things that I had never done before.
I believe that self-employment is the only way that I can be fulfilled in my work and know that my work ethic isn’t taken for granted. I enjoy facing new challenges and I feel that I am persistent when finding the solution to any type of problem. Plumbing and heating isn’t just a job for me as I get to connect with people on a daily basis. My main priority is to see the finished product working for the customer, when they are happy, I am happy!
In my time as a plumbing and heating engineer I have covered plumbing maintenance, bathroom/wet room installation, central heating breakdown and installation and gas servicing. I ensure that I am thorough in every aspect of my work and I take great pride in offering a high quality service. The great satisfaction that I get from my job keeps my motivation high.
“I am looking forward to challenges and different scenarios that I can add to my experience.
Plumbing and heating isn’t just a job for me. This is because I get to connect with people on a daily basis; which gives me a sense of community I think is important for everyone. Fixing a customer’s heating when in need is a really good feeling that I never get tired of.
Other than plumbing I enjoy a variation of different things; Long walks in nature, new recipes, a good philosophical book , some yoga here and there and most likely a drum circle or two. Last year was filled with travel; I have been volunteering in Canada (off grid community farm), India (building bamboo huts), Thailand (Off grid permaculture centre) and even Wales (Natural building) I have enjoyed meeting lots of people from many walks of life and being submerged in a totally different culture. Now the time has come to be submerged in my life and my journey, what better way to aid it than as the Stopcocks Woman Plumber in Calder Valley!”
