A Dream Bathroom

Bathrooms, wetrooms, showers, tiles, baths, heat, steam and shiny surfaces; our need for a beautiful bathroom is about much more than cleanliness.
What is it with sumptuous bathrooms?

Power showers, pumped showers, drench showers, shower rooms, wet rooms and bathrooms. The choices are endless and that’s without us making a start on baths and tiling.
The Romans spent whole days at The Baths, Turkish Baths introduced us to steam and massage and Sweden -The Sauna; we all have to get clean.
My personal feeling is that here is a way to introduce some real luxury into our routine and lift our whole lives out of the ordinary as we go.
Our bathrooms are still usually the smallest room in the house, so we can choose high end  fixtures and fittings and still keep our costs manageable.
Where we may feel guilty for indulging in champagne and chocolates, silk and velvet, diamonds and pearls, our bathroom can give us a daily dose of luxurious and guilt free ‘me time’ in the one room it’s acceptable to lock the door.
